SusChem-AT?
Sustainable Chemistry Austria (SusChem-AT) is the Austrian national technology platform in the field of sustainable chemistry: the Austrian contact point with the vision to drive the technology-based system change towards a sustainable process industry. SusChem-AT acts as an interface between Austrian stakeholders, initiates and coordinates the development of common topics, places these topics within the framework of (inter-)national strategies and supports the development and implementation of concrete initiatives and projects. SusChem-AT thus offers a platform for participatory development processes for sustainable solutions, with the overarching goal of gaining socio-economic value. To this end, SusChem-AT shapes the strategic developments of the chemical industry at both the national and European levels.
The strategy of SusChem-AT is to strengthen the interaction of relevant stakeholders on national level to address Europe’s and especially Austria’s societal challenges with chemical and biotechnological innovations. Within the frame of SusChem Europe, the national platform adheres to the common European goal to enable a more sustainable chemical sector in Europe contributing to create jobs and growth.
SusChem-ETP is the European Technology Platform for Sustainable Chemistry. It is a forum that brings together industry, academia, policy makers and the wider society. SusChem’s vision is for a competitive and innovative Europe where sustainable chemistry and biotechnology together provide solutions for future generations. SusChem’s mission is to initiate and inspire European chemical and biochemical innovation to respond effectively to societal’s challenges by providing sustainable solutions.
