An important milestone, a technical contribution to the SSbD framework, has been achieved!

We are happy to inform you that the JRC Technical Report “Safe and sustainable by design chemicals and materials – Framework for the definition of criteria and evaluation procedure for chemicals and materials” has been published. The report is available here.

SusChem-AT community contributed to the European community and this framework. The aim of the SSbD framework is to support the design and development of safe and sustainable chemicals and materials with research and innovation activities.

The report proposes dimensions, aspects, methods and indicators that can be used to assess chemicals and materials and how criteria can be defined.

The JRC will continue the development of the announced case studies.
